A not so great week...

Sadly I dont really have many good things to say about this week! The Lord is definitly giving me a few last challenges in the end of my mission! This week I pretty much spent the whole time in bed or at the doctors... As I told you last week I have been having back pain, well monday night it got REALLY bad, so Sister Tanner gave me some medicine that I can take, and then on tuesday nothing was helping so after making some Coxinhas with Irmã Clerice which was fun, we went to the Emergency room at the public hosptial to see if they could do anything. They just gave me an injection for the pain. Oh and that night the Buses decided to go on strike so we had to try and find a ride which proved difficult. The strike continued onto wednesday along with the Police going on strink which meant that our Mission Conference with Elder Andersen was... CANCELLED! I was a little more then bummed! As things werent improving and I started feeling nausous all the time with some pretty bad stomach pains along with my back still not completly free from pain. I went to a private hospital on friday to see if they would do some tests to see what was actually wrong. After waiting forever, a unrine test, blood test, and ultrasound, oh and more waiting. It turns out I have an infection urinary which is a bummer. So they gave me some Antibiotics to take and now I'm on the mend. Still not completly free of pain and discomfort but Im confident that this will all be over soon! I hope! Ive only got 2 weeks left here and I dont want to spend it sick. So that was the crappy part of my week!

We were blessed to have a good weekend! Thankfully! It was our ward conference with ajoining activity on saturday. We had enlisted the whole zone to help with the activity and I was worried that not very many people would come but it was packed!! It was so much fun! It was a dance, with Plan of Salvation mixed together, Ill explain some other time but it was great! We had tons of Nonmembers! And on sunday we were able to bring quite a few investigators to church which was  a huge blessing! It was really spiritual. I just love our ward it was a great weekend.

Im getting excited for my birthday next week, I dont know what we are going to do, sadly this time its not Pday so we cant do too much but lots of teaching and progressing investigators would just be an awesome present!!

I love you all and am getting excited to see you but also sadder that ill soon be leaving all my friends here in Brasil. I just feel so blessed for all the wonderful people I've been able to meet! Good thing there's facebook so we can keep in contact!!

Have a great week!

Minions!

Not that im counting down or anything but my last transfer is already half way over! AHHH!! Its just all going by way to fast for me! But Im just doing my best to stay focused on my purpose as a missionary and as president reminded me on sunday, CORRER ATE O FIM! or run to the finish! Everyday is a blessing with a new adventure and a new opportunity to share my testimony! We had a pretty good week, I was a little disspointed on sunday because none of our investigators came to church but I can only do so much to help them and then they have to do the rest! We were able to have some really fun family nights and lessons this week. On monday night we made pancakes with Rita, Jacob, Ramily, and Rebeca. A cute family that we are teaching that has been taught by many a sister but we just love them so much, a really special family! We are also having fun teaching a bunch of little kids! They rang from 10 to 16 and we have been really cool book of mormon stories with them, They are loving it and reading the Book of Mormon on their own. Who knows if a baptism will come of it, but I know that this is an experience that they will always remember! Sometimes its about planting seeds and I feel like thats what wer're doing with them. A bummer about this week was that I started to have some serious back pain! :( I swear this mission is going to kill me! haha But its more then worth it! Sister Tanner has me doing some excersises and taking Ib profen. Im trying to do all that I can to NOT have to go to the doctor on my mission...Well see what happens this week!

As usual we also had some sweet parties! Everyone loves to invite the missionaries to everything and if we dont go they get mad at us. haha Sometimes you just gotta stop by to show your support. But its fun I love the members here so much! Other then that it was a pretty normal week, I have been enjoying my study time this week as usual but really thinking about humility and what it means. I think this is an attriute that we will spend our whole life trying to improve upon. It really is so complex and there is much to learn. Im hopeing to become a little bit more humble in all that I do and I know that it can come through studying the scriptures and always trying to be more like Christ.

This week we have our mission conference with Elder Andersen! We are all super excited and I hope to be inspired as I finish my mission and start a new chapter in my life. I love you all so much and thank you everyday for you prayers, love, and support! You are they best and although im not counting down you feel free! Although I am counting down 15 days till my birthday!! Woo!!

Love you and have a wonderful week!!

Battle wounds

So this has been a pretty good week! We worked really hard and were blessed to find some new investigators with alot of potential to be baptised in this transfer! Im excited and we are going to continue working hard to see that they happen. So that we can bring more children of God closer to Him. The convenant of Baptism is so special and so important to our journey here on the earth. I am so greatful that I made this covenant with my Heavenly Father and I hope to help others have the same blessings. Its so great when we see the fruits of our hard work! I know that the Lord is here with us helping us every step of the way when we are doing all that we can to be worthy and work hard!

One of the funny or sad things that happened this week was that I fell...haha it was a bummer! But I gotta go home with a few battle wounds from the mission right?! We were walking down a really steep street that wed never walked down before and there was sand one the ground and of course I slipped and one of my feet went foreward and the other stayed back. Im fine now but it was swollen for a few days and ive got a mean scab! haha Luckily I have a wonderful companion who took care of me! Its a good memory! haha

We were also able to stop by the temple, my companion had a appointment close by, so we took some pictures and just enjoyed a little bit of the spirit on the temple grounds! Even saw a bride(made me a little trunky but its okay! haha) she was cute and glowing! I just love being by the temple so much! Its the best feeling even nt having time to go inside!

I am excited for another successful week! I cant wait to talk to the fam bam on sunday! Pray for me that I can keep going strong and then we can meet even more people prepared to recieve the message of the restoration and I will pray that you can help those around you!

I love you and remember that the Lord is always by your side and every hard moment passes when we keep our faith and trust in the Lord!

Beijos! Eu amo vocês!
